Canadian delegation visited the Obesity Research Center

  As part of the events of the Saudi Canadian Educational Partnership Forum, a high-level Canadian delegation visited the Obesity Research Center  at King Saud University.  This visit is aimed at keeping abreast of the latest developments in obesity research, exploring ways of cooperating and sharing experiences between the Centre and Canadian universities and research centres. The Canadian delegation was received by H.E. Dr. Asim Ben Abdulaziz Al fadda, Director of the Obesity Research Center. The delegation conducted an induction tour throughout the Centre and research laboratories. The delegation heard a detailed explanation from researchers at the Centre on the various research projects under way, aimed at understanding the causes and remedies of obesity. Participation of the Obesity Research Center in the World Liver Day event.  The the Obesity Research Center participated in the World Liver Day event, held at The Zone Mall, with the aim of spreading awareness about liver diseases and the importance of preventing them. Liver disease is one of the most common chronic diseases in the world, affecting millions of people.  The World Liver Day event aims to shed light on these diseases and enhance awareness of the relationship between obesity and liver diseases.  The Obesity Research Center participated in the event by providing awareness leaflets and measuring weight mass for visitors.  The Obesity Research Center participation in the World Liver Day event is an important step in spreading awareness about liver diseases and their relationship to obesity.
